Is It Safe To Take Ensure Plus At 30 Weeks Pregnancy?

Hi is it safe to take Ensure Plus during pregnancy? I am 33 years old and 30 weeks pregnant, I have had whooping cough for the past 3 weeks which has caused me to be sick alot and my baby is now small for dates. A family member has recommended I take Ensure Plus to gain weight and nutrition.

Hi,I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. You should test your sputum for AFB in three consecutive mornings.My opinion is you take tab Azithromycin (500) ODPC for three days. Ensure Plus is a good product you can continue this but first you take nutritious diet regularly. USG with colour doppler study might be diagnose proper baby's condition and followup scan is also required to confirm the condition.
