Is It Safe To Take Ketorol DT For Pain?

Hi, I have extracted one of my Molars. The doctor has recommended me to tke Ketorol DT for pain. I am taking it as and when I get pain. How long should I take it? Is it safe?... Pls note: After taking it, there is a great relief. I hope its safe... and how long will this pain last?

I read your query and I understand your concern.

Ketorol (ketorolac) is a antiinflammatory drug with pain relieving properties. I don't think you'll need it for a long time, until inflammation subsides for a few days, one week at most. It's only for the pain, take it only if in pain, gradually you'll see you'll need it less and less until no more.
As for safety, long term use in predisposed people can exacerbate gastric ulcer, kidney problems, asthma etc, but usually in long term use, that shouldn't be the case for you, especially if a healthy young individual, don't worry much about it.
