Hi, I take Lisonopril for High blood pressure. I’ve been having hip pain. A friend (previous nurse) told me to take Motrin) I googled it and it said don’t take Motrin if on BP meds But I was wondering if it’s okay to take the Lisonopril meds at 10:00 P.M. then take the Motrin med at 10:00 Am to help with pain. Hi,

The main interaction of concern would be the possible ability of Motrin in reducing the effectiveness of your blood pressure medication. It is possible that this effect may not even occur. If you have a blood pressure monitor, you can check your blood pressure to see if this happens. The possible effect would be minimized by spacing the meds as suggested.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
