Hi my daughter is 2 yrs old. She has had constipation problem for the past 2 months, so she is on miralax. She hasn't gone in 2 days again, and all of a sudden tonight, she started throwing up with 103 fever and saying her head and nose hurts. What do I do?
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Miralax is safe but also some other laxatives can be used such as glicerin suppositories. However, it would be better to treat this with dietary changes and she should drink plenty of fluids, take fruits and vegetables, avoid chocolate, and fried food.If there is a fever associated with pain then you should see pediatrician and do some blood tests to rule out certain digestion disorders such as IBS or celiac. Also, stool analysis may have to be taken to see if there are parasitic infection.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Wish you good health.
