Is It Safe To Take Tramadol To Relieve Burning Pain?
I have had shingles for nearly two weeks now. Took an anti-viral for a week and now off it. Need something for the burning pain. My Dr has prescribed Tramadol in a low dose. I also take at bedtime, 5 mg chlorazepam and 12.5 mg atenolol. My diastolic pressure is usually in the 60 s and pulse this AM was 60. Is Tramadol safe to take? I rarely take any meds except those listed here.
Yes, tramadol may be used if needed. In fact, the pain of herpes may be sometimes quite a lot and may need a strong pain killer. Tramadol is a strong pain killer and we only use it if other painkillers have failed. So first you should use paracetamol and ibuprofen, if that does not heal your pain, then yes Tramadol may be used.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
