Is It Safe To Take Tranexamic After A Medical Abortion?
Hi I had medical abortion 5 weeks ago and still bleeding,stops and starts every few hours ,i usually take tranexamic acid for the first few days of my period is it safe to use it for my circumstances now?

Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor Service. I reviewed your query and here is my answer. In this case of yours, first the cause of intermittent bleeding should be ruled out. As it is a medical abortion, so it is least likely that any thing will be left in uterus. But it should be checked out whether your uterus has returned to its position as in prepregnancy state. or there may be an infection. But as far as tranexamic acid is concerned, so yes you can take it whenever you have bleeding but the cause should be known. Hope i answered your question.
