Is It Safe To Take Budecort N Salbutamol Nebulization? How Long It Should Be Continued?

Hello sir My daughter is 03 yrs old and suddenly had cold 01 month back. From last 15 days she little respiratory distress in terms of fast and obstructive breathing. She is advised budecort n Salbutamol nebulization twice daily. Is it safe and for how long it should be continued. Plz reply.

Hello and welcome to HCM forum .

Budecort and Salbutamol nebulization is used to bring fast releif in cases of allergic bronchitis .
It is generally safe and is used only for short duration (3- 5days ) sometimes if the intensity of the respiratory distress is high then it might be continued longer .
Nebulization is the fastest and most effective way of delivering the drug directly to the lungs .

Since Budecort is a corticosteroid please avoid self medication .It has to be used in carefully measured doses and repeated only as per medical advice .
