Is It Safe To Take Duphaton And Cyclogest During Pregnancy?

Hi, i am 25 years old and 15 wk pregnant and my doctor had adviced me to take duphaston 10mg twice a day also i use cyclogest 400 mg twice a day (morning n night) two times heaving bleeding last wk but baby is safe, two abort one is 9 wks and and 2nd is 15 wks, please advice can i use both duphaston nd cyclogest ?.

Hi,

Both Cyclogest and Duphaston contains progesterone and hence I would suggest you not to take both the drugs together. You can start taking Duphastony as advised by your doctor. These drugs are safe to take and help in maintaining progesterone levels in pregnancy. Kindly do not stop the drug in between and visit your doctor if bleeding continues even after 2 to 3 days of Duphaston use.
