Is It Safe To Take Eptoin While Drinking Alcohol Frequently?

Hi I met with an accident in December 2010 with a head injury. The CT scan showed extradural haematoma along right temporal lobe with minimal mass effect. Fracture right temporal and right parietal bones. I am fine now but the doc advised me to have eptoin for a year. I drink alcohol frequently (in a controlled manner) and have my regular dosages of eptoin three times a day. Will this effect me? Will eptoin effect my reproductive system? we are planning for a child.
