Is It Safe To Take Mf And Progesterone Tablets?

i got my periods after a month and few days i.e. around 8th june, its a late period, the same is still on and last few days heavy bleeding with clots. during the periods i had a bad stomachache and backache with pain in thighs. also one of the days i felt giddy whole evening. i visited my gynac and she prescribed me pause mf and regestrone 5mg Sandoz. kindly advise if its safe to use these tablets without any harmful side affects. i am married,36 yrs old, issueless, 62 kgs and 5feet. i never got pregnant for my entire married life. also to mention, i do tend to drink alcohol on weekends, and very rarely i smoke. thanks a lot!!!
