Hi,

Acetaminophen is a commonly used pain reliever and fever reducer, but taking too much of it can lead to serious liver damage or even death. The maximum recommended daily dose of acetaminophen is 4,000 milligrams (mg) per day for adults and taking more than this amount can be toxic.

In your case, taking 2,925 mg of acetaminophen in 3 hours is a significant amount and may put you at risk of an overdose. The fact that you have been taking Percocet (which also contains acetaminophen) for two months may also increase your risk.

If you are experiencing any symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, or yellowing of the skin or eyes, you should seek medical attention immediately. In case of an overdose, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible, as treatment may involve inducing vomiting, administering activated charcoal, and providing supportive care.

In general, it is not advisable to induce vomiting or take any other action to try to get rid of the acetaminophen without first consulting a healthcare professional, as this can be dangerous and may not be effective.

Please seek medical attention and speak to your healthcare provider as soon as possible to ensure your safety and well-being.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
