Is It Safe To Travel After Tonsillectomy And Cauterization?

My 18-year old daughter had her tonsils removed on December 19 and had to go back in for surgery December 25 to have bleeding caterized. We are scheduled to go to Punta Cana January 1 (8-hour flight). do you think we should reschedule the vacation or would it be okay for her to travel? Thanks for your help!

Seems thats a secondary hemorrage after tonsillectomy occurred . This happens due to infection in the raw tonsillar bed. Travelling is allowed if patient can be put under broad spectrum antibiotic coverage like under Cepodem 200 twice daily and a 4 hourly Betadine gargle. Happy journey.
