Is It Safe To Travel With Vitreous Haemorrhage In My Eye?
i had a vitreous hemorrhage in my right eye a couple of months ago which has mostly cleared. The nurse mentioned I would likely have one in the left eye some time in the next year. That happened last night. It is much less cloudy (thin layer of black dots) than the right eye was as with that one I could only make out images at first. I need to get on an airplane tomorrow to fly to my Father s funeral. I know I should be going to see my retinal specialist but who would skip the Father s funeral? I will see the specialist in 3 days. Am I putting this eye at greater risk?

A vitreous hemorrhage would not be a risk for air travel. But it must be diagnosed for sure that it is vitreous hemorrhage only and not a retinal detachment( sudden reduction in vision with a shower of floaters and flashes of light). But do get your eye examined by a retina specialist as early as possible ( after you attend the funeral). Sorry to know about your father's death.
