Is It Safe To Try Concieving Immediately After An Abortion?

hi,i have recently had to go threw a termiation for medical reason and had to take a tablet of mifepristone and then be induced! i was wondering if there any medical reasons why i cant start to concieve straight away?like would it be harmful to my baby?thanks

Hi,

Yes, I think it better to wait for 2 months because mifepristone might have certain harmful effects on fetus. I would suggest you and your partner to have folic acid tablet 5mg once daily from the month you are planning to conceive.
