Is It Safe To Use AlgaeCal?

This is about AlgaeCal, a product supposedly made from algae and containing calcium for bone support. I could not find a definition of the Ca, whether it is carbonate, or a truly organic form of Ca. I am also concerned with the content of algae and their purity.Would you know anything about this ?

Hello,
This is dr. Papaqako answering your question.

AlgaeCal it's a calcium supplement made from South American algae, the calcium is a supplement that is organic and plant based.

Based on a serving Size: 4 Capsules, this supplement contains:
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferal) 800 IU
Vitamin K2 (as MK-4) 5 mg
Calcium (from Algae) 720 mg 72%
Magnesium (from Algae) 216 mg 54%
Trace Minerals (from Algae) 1464 mg
Other Ingredients: vegetarian Capsule; does not contain: sugar; yeast; wheat; gluten; corn; soy; dairy; artificial color, sweeteners, flavors, or preservatives.

Organic certification attests to both the purity, and to the sustainability of this algae. A third party organization called IBD Certificacoes has certified that the harvest area is free of pollutants and that the harvest levels are allowing this resource to regenerate. IBD is held responsible by the USDA and IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) ensuring that AlgaeCal is the highest quality, wild-harvested ingredient.

Hope this helps,
Take care.
