hello Dr. Andrew Rynne ,i m julliet age 26 ,i have lost my first baby last week .28weeks baby.since fiest day of pregnancy my blood pressure was 140 or 160 till now my surgen was giving me ascard 75mg for controll bp but she cant and my uric acid is also inreased when last month i got in the report sir plz guide me have i lost my baby due to ascard or misjudgment of my consultant .thanx and ascard is safe in pregnancy or not?how can i controll on my blood pressure?
I read your question and I understand your concern.
I must confess that I am a little puzzled because to my knowledge Ascard is Aspirin and it is a blood thinner, it is not used to lower blood pressure. It is not advised to be given during pregnancy especially in the last trimester.
So I am not really sure why your doctor gave it to you, perhaps he considered it necessary for some other reason than blood pressure, you should talk to him about that. Make sure first that Ascard is indeed Aspirin because at times brand names may differ between different countries.
I hope to have been of help.
