Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic Melacare cream is a triple drug combination of a potent steroid(mometasone) +hydroquinone+tretinoin. Such a combination is usually prescribed by a dermatologist for Melasma. The potent steroid that it contains cannot be used on face for long. Using it would obviously lead to side effects related to steroid abuse like Acne, Photosensitivity, Skin thinning (Atrophy) and telangiectasis and Facial hair growth(hirsutism), which is especially troublesome in females. Therefore it should be used for not more than 2-3 months and that too only under the supervision of a dermatologist since early signs of steroid abuse may be missed by others.
