Is It Safe To Use Utrogestan During Pregnancy?

my wife is 7 weeks pregnant, ultrasound saw the placenta forming and heartbeat. the gynae prescribe my wife 1X 100g utrogestan for 1 month, would like a second opinion before taking any form of medication. was told that prescribetion was to "stabelize"the pregnancy?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion utrogestan is a progesterone hormone supplement usually given in pregnancy in cases of progesterone insufficiency.Progesterone hormone is very essential in the maintenance of pregnancy.So dont worry.It can be taken safely.
