Is It Serious To Have Low Fluid In Pregnancy?

My daughter is 7.5 months pregnant and she was told at one of her visits that her fluid is low. The doctor told her to drink more water. She has been in military and recently moved to California. She is due August 14th.She is 24 and it is going to be her first baby. Is this a serious concern.

it really depends on how low the level is, I have to assume that it wasn't dangerously low, for if it was, then her doctor would have ordered her to get special non stress testing, and possibly other measures as well. however, as long as it was in the normal range and everything else about the pregnancy has been fine such as her health, the growth of the baby, the anatomy of the baby and so on, then it may not be a big deal. usually the doctor will want to check again in a week or so to make sure the fluid levels are not dropping even more. if you do find out the actual measurement, you can let me know and maybe we can understand much better what may or may not need to be done
