I went to a cardiologist to get checked. I m 41 and have been putting on weight like crazy. I have been experiencing rapid heart rate. He put me on atenolo0 s down from 9l. I took my first dose today and I feel agitated but my pulse is now in the 50 s. I don t want to take another dose

Your symptoms may be due to sudden reduction in heart rate.
Ask your cardiologist to reduce the dose of atenilol or change it to cardio sekective beta blocker.
