Is It To Be Concerned About The Black Spots In Eye Even After Surgery?

My husband is seeing black dots in an eye that he had cataract surgery on 3 weeks ago this Tuesday. Up until this time there have been no problems and vision has been super. There is not any pain. Will tomorrow be early enough for a call to his doctor?

Hello
It seems from the history that your husband is having black dots in eye.
These black dots indicate floaters.
These are because of opacities in the vitreous.
Majority of them are not harmful and may not require treatment. However a sudden increase in floaters or association with flashes of light require examination of eye by ophthalmologist.

Thank you
