I had sex with my gf the about 2 days ago in the morning and later that night I felt a little itchy and irritated mostly at the base of my penis. The next morning I noticed red spots around the base and then it s almost like two separate columns of red bumps and spots. Is this really bad irritation/friction bumps or possibly herpes? The bumps and spots don t look like open sores and nothing is coming out of them.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
It would be very hard to point out the exact nature of the spots/bumps without having a look at them but I will definitely like to rule out a possibility of herpes genitalis. A short history of just 2 days coinciding with the incubation period of herpes along with symptoms of irritation and itching are somewhat suggestive of herpes. It is unlikely for any other STD to shoe up so fast except herpes. Herpes lesions are quite characteristic to be diagnostic on a physical i.e grouped discrete vesicles or erosions. Therefore, I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis. If this is indeed herpes, treatment would include oral antiviral like acyclovir Or valacyclovir.
