Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I fell over a small suitcase nearly 3 weeks ago. I had a very large knot come up on my leg about the size of half of a fist. I went to the dr after about a week and he said he would go away, but it has not. Should I be worried about it or will it eventually go away?
Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your leg 3 weeks ago. It is about size of half of a fist. It is hematoma. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. Your doctor said it will take about a week. Sometimes it may took a longer time. No need to worry much, it will eventually go away. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
