my brother was diagnosed with mds about three months ago and he is now receiving chemotherapy treatments. he is 76 and has been a smoker for about 50 years. i am 66 and never smoked. i also have t1 diabetes since 1955 and in very good shape. our grandfather was diagnosed with leukemia in about 1960 and he lived another 5 years after that. my question is if leukemia is hereditery? thanks, scott
