Yes my name is misty and I ve been on klonipin for about 9 months. I have a couple shots every now and then. There mixed so only 20% alcohol. I don t EVER drink to get drunk n I don t like a buzzed feeling. Is it ok. My physc said it was ok. I just want a second opinion. Is it as bad as doc make it out to be. How can u have a social life if everyone is drinking n u want to have 1 or 2 as well.
Welcome to HCM and thanks for posting your query. I understand your concern. Alcohol interacts with Clonazepam ( Klopin) and there is increased sedation when the two are used together. You have to be aware of that and so the effect of the couple of shots would be more than what you would expect without the medicine. So you should not drive, operate any machinery or be at a place where your decreased alertness can harm yourself or any other person. take Care Dr Noble Zachariah
