Is Looking A Bit Yellow During Early Days Of Pregnancy Serious?

Hi I am 11 weeks pregnant and my husband has said that I am looking a bit yellow, I'm not sure myself. I have a 6 year old child, and in the later stages of my pregnancy with her I had itching and was told I was borderline cholastasis. Is this something I should be worried about?

Hello and welcome,

Since you have been diagnosed with cholestasis and are now looking yellow, it is a good idea to get the liver function tests evaluated. The yellow color is mostly caused by raised bilirubin levels. So please get them evaluated and if they are raised then they may need treatment.

Hope this satisfies your query.
