Is Low ALP Level Causing Increasingly Stiff Joints?

Hi, I am 39 and I have increasingly stiff joints and feel very tired. I had blood test which revealed and low alkaline phos level of 12. My doctor seem to think it might be genetic however this does not help me to feel any better. Is there any reason why my levels are so low and would this be related to my stiff joints?
Thanks
