Is Low Response To Sex Visual Stimuli Related To Low Levels Of Testosterone?
I would like to recive an andrologist s advice: is low response to sex visual stimuli (e.g. a pretty woman for an heterosexual man as I am) though in presence of normal nightime erections related to low levels of testosterone? I am 38 years old and had good sexual life up to 2 yrs ago, when the early sympotms appeared
It is true, low testosterone levels usually can cause low sexual desire. Anyway considering your young age and all the information you gave, in my opinion, you have not hormone imbalance.
If this little "problem" persists, I suggest doing these hormone tests: Total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, estrogen tests and prolactin the thyroid hormone panel tests.
These tests will clarify if you have any hormone imbalance that explains your situation.
My last pieces of advice for you: Manage stress, quit smoking, do more physical activities and eat healthily can be helpful for you.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Is Low Response To Sex Visual Stimuli Related To Low Levels Of Testosterone?
Hello, No, it is not related, testosterone is a hormone responsible for sperm production and maturity, it has nothing to do with sexual stimuli. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
