Is Medical Consultation Required For Pain In The Ribcage And Back?
Hi. I am wondering if I should seek medical attention, as I am experiencing a sharp/ burning pain in my right rib cage and back area. The pain hit me suddenly as i was getting ready for college classes this morning. It took my breath away, and I collapsed (but did not lose consciousness). I made it through my classes....somehow....but now the pain has worsened and is centralized around a specific rib. I am also feeling feverishly cold and very fatigued. I cannot move, twist, bend or really do anything without this pain flaring up. I took 2 ibuprofen this morning but they did absolutely nothing to combat the pain. I am honestly at a loss as to what this could be. I have no incurred any trauma or injuries recently.
As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist, better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
