Hi, Menstrual cycle consists of Proliferative phase and secretory phase separated by ovulation. Estrogen and progesterone are the two hormones of Menstrual cycle. In follicular phase estrogen hormone plays a major role which helps in maturity of egg which gets released during ovulation. Progesterone is the hormone of the secretory phase which helps in sustaining the pregnancy after fertilization of the egg. Mensovit contains Mifepristone which is an anti progesterone tablet inhibits the action of Progesterone and induces shedding of the uterine endometrial development which results in abortion. It should be taken within first 60 days from the first day of last menstrual cycle. Visit the gynecologist for further evaluation.
