Hi steve . As you don't have high bp, diabetes, or any other risk factor for heart disease, shortness of breath and tiredness is less likely to be due to heart problems. Low hemoglobin is more likely cause in your case. However heart disease are more serious conditions should always be ruled out. I suggest you should go for complete blood picture which tests your blood for hemoglobin and other parameters. And also 2d echo for heart. Hope this helps. Take care.
