Is Minimal Invasive Laminectomy Surgery Required For Spinal Stenosis?

A pain doctor that is an orthopedic surgeon wants to do an minimal invasive surgery fo spinal stenosis on me. A second opinion neurosurgeon said I don’t need surgery because he sees authrides. The orthopedic doctor gave mean epidural injections but that didn’t work. The neurosurgeon said I should get a third opinion or another epadural in June ection or phi alpha therapy’s. Maybe I should see another kind of doctor like A ANATHEDIa doctor.

Hello,

I think that surgery should be indicated and performed only for cases that all the conservative treatment options are exhausted or if there is a recent neurological deficit.

If there is an option for another epidural injection, it should be tried and if there is no improvement, surgery remains the best option. Get an opinion from an experienced spine Specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
