Is Missed Period After Unprotected Sex A Pregnancy Symptoms?
Hello doct, my gf had sex wtih me 2 month ago and his menstrual period has stopped since having sex. She has used peganews home pregnancy test 3 times and each times result shows negavit. But she is afraid that she is pregnant as menstrunal period has stopped for 2 month after the intercourse. Please tell me whether she is pregnant??
If pregnancy tests taken 3-4 weeks after the sexual episode are negative, then pregnancy is ruled out. Other reasons for missed periods are stress, hormonal imbalances and ovarian cysts.
Ask her to exercise regularly and take light meals as well as practice meditation. All this helps decrease stress. If the periods continue to remain absent then she will need a gynec examinaiton, ult4rasound and blood tests to look for the cause. In most cases the reason is transient and self correcting. So please do not worry. Hope this satisfies your query. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have.
