Is Monteair Safe For Rashes During Pregnancy?

hello doctor, my wife is pregnant and it is 3rd month, from the first month of her pregnancy, she got the problem of itching and on her body she found red patches to be made, this is very serious.We consulted to our doctor, she referred to take Monteair LC of Cipla.Can you please guide me is this the right medicine and is their any side effect for pregnant women.

Hello,

Itching in your wife may be due to pregnancy itself hormonal induced. Levocetirizine prescribed which is safe. So, she can take it. The mild steroid with moisturizer cream may be applied to relieve itching. Avoid soap bath. Dettol liquid may be used for bath.
