Is More Blood Work Necessary Incase Of Dehydration In Children?

My 21 month-old son weights 20.1 lbs and our dr ran several tests. They want to redo the bmp because he was slightly dehydrated according to the results. They want to retest him, but all the others (tyroid, cystic fib, etc) have all come in negative. Should I put him through more blood work - it s very tramatic for him!
