Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I prepare mutton joints soup once a week. when i boil mutton joints in water to make a soup, it leaves all oil on the top released by the mutton joints. I am not sure is it good to have this soup or is it a cholestrol floating on the soup which we need to avoid. Please help me
Either you can remove the oily layer present on the surface of soup and have it or else buy lean cuts of meat (muscle without fat) and boil it with some vegetables like spinach to prepare a healthy and nutritious soup with a good content of iron and proteins. Try this option as it is healthy and you won't have to worry about ingesting cholesterol too!
