Just joined but Deepblue I am not trying to be mean or judge you, do you have a eating disorder? I have a child who did and to this day as a young woman she still doesnt want to gain weight (luckily shes a ok weight now, 98 lbs but shes only 4`9) I am not a dr but there are many tools that can tell you what your ideal weight should be (remember that bigger bones means you may weigh more or smaller ones less, but for a young woman who is 5`10 heres a place I looked up: Your
Body Mass Index (BMI):
Your Current BMI: 17
Healthy BMI: 18.5 - 25
LOW 18.5-25 HIGH
You have a BMI of 17. A woman of your height should weigh between 132 and 167 pounds to maintain a normal BMI.
so your only a little under weight but putting on 10 lbs could maybe help raise your blood pressure (this is to be on the tiniest side of where you should be) I am 5`3 and should weigh what you do or a couple pounds more, but I am over weight. if you have any kind of eating disorder you should really find someone your trust to talk to (who doesnt have a eating disorder) because if it goes on for a long time you can have stomach problems, you can have teeth problems, a coughing problem (if you purge your food)and of course the worst outcome, death, I know this is not the subject that you wrote under, but as a mom of a child who was bulimic I worry about all who feel they should never put on weight even if it means a healthier you. Im not saying get fat like me, just get healthy, and then if your healthy and still have a low blood pressure, find a dr you trust and see what he says (I have low blood pressure and so far all they tell me is to eat salt, and I do, but low blood pressure can be dangerous if for nothing else then passing out and hurting yourself. and if you do not have a eating disorder Im so sorry for mentioning it. Like I said my daughter and also a couple of her friends had one, so I know how dangerous they are and I know the first thing they say when told they should put on a lb or 2, no way, I do not want to gain weight. good luck to you
