ESR raised in any inflammation or infective or malignant condition. Here enterocolitis seems more likely from bacterial infection as pus cells present in stool.
Stool culture should be done to choose appropriate antibiotic and to find causative organism.
In infant and young children otherwise viral gut infection common as compared to bacteria. Consult a pediatrician for the examination.
