Is My Diastolic Reading A Matter Of Concern?

Hi, I have high blood pressure that is managed with Diovan and Adalat together. For a very long time my BP has remained consistent with readings of 110/65. I have been swimming an average of 7 hours a week for the past several months and watching my weight by counting calories. I have lost more than 20 pounds over the past 3 months; the last couple of weeks my BP has been consistent at 110/52. Is the diastolic reading now a concern?

Hi,

You shouldn't worry about your diastolic pressure.
You do everything correct by reducing your weight and following healthy lifestyle. And it seems after some time your doctor already can reduce your blood pressure medications' doses, which is good news

Wish you good health

Regards,
