Hi, Your father is on treatment for epilepsy. Along with it he has also be started on Donep M forte which is the initial drug of choice for treatment in Alzheimer's. Diagnosis of Alzheimer's is usually done by a Mini mental examination. Based on your history of memory loss, forgetting identities, his diagnosis of dementia appears to correct and most possibly Alzheimer s disease. Now that he has been started on therapy, dosage correction might be necessary after a month looking into symptoms. Ask him to avoid driving, or going out along. Nutritional diet and physical exercise to improve overall being is essential. Try to make his surrounding area elderly friendly. any further queries, happy to help.
