Is Naproxen Ointment Advisable For Severe Knee And Leg Pain?
Hello! about 1 month ago after hard work started pain my left knee and when I lay down to sleep starting cramp mainly knee and whole left leg is very strong I cannot sleep. When I tray to walk and use naproxen ointment and again go to sleep is much better and I can sleep. In morning is almost ok and during day is a little pain knee but when I go to sleep is the same situation started pain and strong cramping, thank you in advance,Joe
Though symptomatic relief from pain can be obtained with application of Naproxen ointment, the underlying cause needs to be treated to avoid recurrence. Investigation like X ray of the knee joint will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.
Leg cramps at night can also be due to peripheral neuropathy or electrolyte imbalance in the body. You need to take nervigenic agents (like Vit B6, B12, Folic acid). Multivitamin & mineral supplements containing iron, calcium need to be added to your diet.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
