Is Nausea With A Positive Pregnancy Test Indicate A Definite Pregnancy?
Hi there, I believe I am 8 weeks pregnant. It does not show and when i was 5 weeks the gyne could not see anything on the monitor during ym sonogram. I feel nauseous almost every morning and still get a positive on my pregnancy tests. Is it a definite that I am pregnant, or is it something else?
Hallow dear, when pregnancy test is positive, whether with any other symptoms or without them, the pregnancy is confirmed.
However, even with positive pregnancy test, if ultrasonography fails to depict it in the uterine cavity, it is a sign of ectopic pregnancy.
Ectopic pregnancy is a state in which the pregnancy gets implanted somewhere outside the uterus - most commonly the tube. Such pregnancy cannot grow far and most of the time ruptures causing bleeding emergency requiring for the emergency surgical intervention with many units of blood transfusion.
Please report to your Gynaecologist and insist on looking for any evidence of ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy if diagnosed early in unruptured state can be managed conservatively by Methotrexate.
Please do not ignore and get a fresh ultrasonography done.
I hope this sends a sufficient message to you.
