Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctor My daughter is 32 months old. Her birthweight was 2.8kg. Now her weight is 11kg and height is 87 cm. I am giving her Pediasure twice daily and cow milk (full fat) once daily. I wanted to know whether her weight and height is normal or not. She is a hyperactive kid. I am planning to switch to Nido milk powder, what do you suggest.? Pls advice Thank you
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
For her age, her height of 87 cm places her between the 15th and 20th%tile for healthy girls age.
Her weight of 11kg places her between the 15th and 20th percentile for healthy girls her age. These are normal percentiles. You should compare her measurements with those of you and her father.
At her age why do you feel see needs an infant formula? Unless there is something significant in her history that I do not know, then the normal milk for a healthy child her age is whole cow's milk.
I hope this is of help to you. If you want additional information, please come back to our website.
