Is Nexplanon Implant Safe To Lighten Or Stop Painful Periods?
Hello. I take levothyroxeine 125mcg daily and am considering the nexplanon implant to lighten or even stop painful periods. Will this work or am I in for a bad time with side effects or will it reduce the effectiveness of the thyroxine? Am I actually better off not bothering to get it put in? Thank you
Nexplanon may mildly affect the dose needed for thyroid supplementation. You will need thyroid hormone monitoring after nexplanon implant and decide upon the adequate dose. Nexplanon initially may cause increased spotting and bleeding in some people. But menstrual cycles are expected to regularize eventually in a few months.
