Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is No Upper Joints In Thumb And Problem In Digestion Sign Of Which Syndrome?
my premie was born with a 13th rib, no upper joints in his thumbs, and a problem with his trachea and asophogus (which was surgically fixed in his first 24 hrs) and a bowel problem they will fix in 2 weeks. hes now 3 days old. do all of these point to any particular syndrome?
It is the syndrome because syndrome means bunch of some condition (abnormal) related with some symptoms, or numbers of symptoms that related with some abnormal condition whether it is being named or not but it is the abnormal condition whatever the cause is there, there are many conditions in medicine that are yet to be named, but they can be said to syndrome.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
