Is Norethisterone Recommended To A 11 Year Old?

I am going on holiday next Saturday, my 11 year old daughter is due on her period when we get there, she is usually heavy and has a period for 7 days, is it safe for her to take Norethisterone if I visit my doctors to try and get a prescription? I have taken it myself but wasnt sure if my daughter would be too young?
