Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi my wife had a baby almost 10 months ago and has been taking micronor since. over the last month or two her cycle has basically regulated. based on the last period she just got last saturday we are expecting it to come in approximately another four weeks which due to personal reasons will be extremely difficult. i was reading about norethisterone which delays periods. just delaying by a couple of days will do the trick for us. what can you suggest for us?
Norethisterone can be used to delay period. Normally it is started 3 to 4 days before the period is due.
Alternatively then she can not take a break in her oral contraceptive. The period occurs in the break period so if she extends the use the period would be delayed.
I hope this helps
