Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 2 year old has had a nose bleed almost every day for 2 weeks also developed a rash I believe to be eczema or heat rash and he also suffers asthma attack’s but hasn’t had one lately however this week I’ve had to buy piriton as he had been dealing with hay fever symptoms. Is he just really unlucky to have all of these allergies and should I be worried about the nose bleeds?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
For nose bleed when it bleeds hold baby in sitting head stooping forward and pinching the nose or apply ice or cold water externally on node. It will control bleeding. For finding cause of nose bleed more detailed history and physical exam is needed. Sometimes it can occur with cold cough or nose picking habits especially in children with allergies. Generally allergies get worse with allergen exposure. Keep bed sheets and Pillow cover clean or you can wrap it in plastic so that the dust doesn't come out when child sleep. Wash curtains at least once in 2 weeks. Keep dust and smoke exposure as less as possible. Do pest control. Keep dogs, cats and pet out of house.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
