Is Nose Bleeding After An Injury A Matter Of Concern?
8 year old son fell off the sofa this morning unto his face and his nose began to bleed but only for about 10 minutes, that was about 130 this morning Eastern Standard Time. I ve been monitoring him all day. his pupils have been dilating properly, no headaches, no reports of nausea, I did give him some children s Tylenol to be on the safe side earlier. He he s been playing and laughing and jumping around as normal. a few minutes ago he was playing and his nose begin to bleed just a little bit, not as much as this morning, just wondering if I should be on alert or take him to the emergency room to be checked out?

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. First be reassured that your kid is normal. I will suggest you danger signs of head injury -
1. Vomiting continuously
2. Seizures
3. Watery of bloody discharge from ears and nose
4. Unconsciousness
5. Altered sensorium or behaviour.
If none of them are present, I don't think you should worry about his trivial head injury. For pain you can give oral Paracetamol in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly.
