Is Nose Bleeding Related To Hay Fever And Its Medication?

my 4 year old daughter has hayfever she never had these symptoms before ive been to the gp and she gave her eye drops called sodium cromoglicate and im also giving her benadryl allergy syrup it hasnt help much and also when she coughs or sneezes her nose starts to bleed is this normal

Hello. Thank you for your question. Nosebleeds are a common complication of seasonal allergy. The eye drops are a good idea. I recommend discussing other oral medications with your doctor. Benadryl is a short acting antihistamine. Your daughter may fare better with something long acting, like cetirizine. Additionally, saline nose drops and baseline applied to the nostril openings will help with the nosebleeds.
